The Supreme Court has ruled against Obama’s recess appointments. They are correct based on the constitution but the “pro-forma” sessions were being used specifically to prevent appointments that the Senate refused to vote on.
The constitution gives the Senate the right to Advise and Consent to appointments but I have seen nothing in the constitution where it gives the legislature the right to just stonewall everything and I am not pointing just at Republicans. Both parties are guilty of just doing as little as possible.
The problem is easily solvable but there are too many people out there that will just vote for the incumbent. If we just voted out every single person who was up for re-election I suspect there would be some pretty damned quick bills passed to bring back the economy and to hopefully restore the middle class and help destroy poverty.
