This is going to be an interesting year. The new Republican controlled Congress will have a fairly short period of time to prove that they are actually interesting in helping the country as a whole rather than just helping those with tons of money that really don’t need any extra help.
I read some fascinating comments by Tom Donahue who is the president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in an article on Fox News.
The Chamber spent quite a lot of money helping Republican Candidates that they believe will actually help the nation. We shall see how that goes.

“Mr. Donohue warned lawmakers to move beyond intraparty skirmishes and partisan bickering that paralyzed the last Congress, hinting that his group might look to oust lawmakers who try to derail the legislative process.”
“We had candidates who were fundamentally more interested in turning over the apple cart than they were in governing,” Mr. Donohue said of the congressional elections in 2010 and 2012.
Hopefully this will be a start to bringing back the Republican Party of my youth that was actually focused on helping absolutely everyone not just the rich.
